Juventus rivalling Spurs for Liverpool's Robertson

Juventus have made a move for Andy Robertson in an attempt to rival Tottenham's interest, according to Sky in Italy.

The Italian club have registered their interest in signing the soon-to-be free agent, whose Liverpool deal expires on June 30.

Your Site News has already reported that Spurs are ready to sign Robertson now they have stayed up, having targeted him for a fee in January.

Sky in Italy also report that Tottenham remain in pole position for Robertson, however.

Your Site News has also reported that Juventus want to sign another Liverpool player - the goalkeeper Alisson - but he looks set to remain at Anfield as things stand.

Kroenke: Arsenal have begun transfer talks

Arsenal co-owner Josh Kroenke revealed the club have begun talks about how they retain their Premier League trophy in the transfer market.

The Gunners lifted the Premier League title on Sunday after sealing it last week, with Kroenke and his father Stan presenting the trophy to the players at Crystal Palace.

And when asked about the summer window, Kroenke told NBC:  "The business never stops. And so, right now there are other teams that are already trying to strengthen to come at us for next season. So we need to be aware of that.

"Weve already had a few conversations about different areas that we think we can improve both on and off the pitch. We are looking forward to getting that going this summer. "

Benfica make Fulham's Silva top target

Latest from Your Site News' Vik Varange, Lyall Thomas, James Cole and Gary Cotterill:

Benficas top target for a new head coach is understood to be Marco Silva.

Nothing has been decided or agreed yet - but the Portuguese club really want him.

They are poised for talks if he decides to leave Fulham, and once Jose Mourinho's move to Real Madrid is ratified.

Mourinho is ready to be appointed at the Bernabeu but the spectre of a presidential election at the club may delay the move.

Meanwhile, Silva is expected to hold discussions with Fulham about his future this week, with his contract expiring next month.

On Sunday, Silva did not rule out staying but said he had not yet decided, and discussions would need to take place.

Fulham have offered him a new lucrative contract to stay at the helm which has been on the table for some time.

Silva steered them to an 11th-place finish following a final day win over Newcastle.

Your Site News reported last week that they would target either Silva or Ruben Amorim to replace Mourinho.

Alisson set to stay at Liverpool

Your Site News' Vinny O'Connor:

Goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who is subject of interest from Juventus, is expected to remain a Liverpool player next season.

Your Site News revealed earlier this month that Juventus are looking to make the Brazil international their top summer transfer target.

Ibrahima Konate's future is still to be sorted out. He is yet to sign a new contract. An extension was said to be close a few weeks ago but nothing has emerged since then.

Remember that Jeremy Jacquet will become a Liverpool player this summer from Rennes - just before he turns 21 - in a 60m deal. He is the second-most expensive defender to join Liverpool.

But Jacquet himself has missed the back end of the season with a shoulder injury. Liverpool also have Geovanni Leoni to come back from his ACL injury.

Virgil van Dijk is still at Liverpool, as is Joe Gomez - who has just a year left on his contract. So there could be movement in that centre-back role.

Cover at left back may be needed with Andy Robertson saying his goodbyes - although they also have Kostas Tsimikas returning from his loan spell.

Slot set to get new coaching staff member

Your Site News' Vinny O'Connor:

Arne Slot will be able to bring in another trusted member of staff this summer, with Etienne Reijnen expected to join his backroom team.

It is another boost for the Dutchman, who is expected to remain at Liverpool this summer.

Reijnen was Slot's assistant at Feyenoord. Slot wanted to bring his fellow Dutchman with him to Liverpool in 2024 but the club could not get a work permit.

Neville leaves Portland Timbers

Portland Timbers have "mutually parted ways" with Phil Neville.

Neville joined the Timbers in 2023 after spending two-plus seasons as head coach of Inter Miami.

The searchfor a new head coach is underway", the MLS club say in a statement.

Neville said: "I'd like to thank Merritt Paulson, Ned Grabavoy, and the entire Portland family for their unwavering support in giving me the job and standing behind me.

To my staff, thank you for your incredible loyalty and hard work. And to the most incredible bunch of players: thank you for the effort, the good times, the good results, the bad results, and all the laughs we shared together.

I realize we are in a results business, and the results haven't been to the expectation of this football club.

To the Timbers Army you are the reason I felt inspired to try and bring success to this club. Keep getting behind the players and the club in this wonderful city. I will miss you all."

Khadija Bunny Shaw has signed a new four-year contract at Manchester City.

The WSL Golden Boot winner was set to leave the club - but has announced she is staying during Man City's parade to celebrate winning the title.

"I'm still here, I'm still hungry and there's no place I'd rather be," she announced to the fans.

Romero speaks out on season just gone

Icon

Tottenham captain Cristian Romero has taken to Instagram to summarise the season - with the defender's future at the club uncertain.

Romero has been linked with a move away from Spurs - with Atletico Madrid long-term admirers - and the defender has called on the club to correct the mistakes of the season just gone.

"Another season comes to an end," he wrote

"It wasnt an easy one, a season full of challenges, difficult moments, and times where things didnt go the way we wanted. We suffered a lot and didnt enjoy it as much as we expected, but we finished it in the best possible way.

"I hope this season serves as a lesson and an opportunity to correct everything that was done wrong, both on and off the pitch, for the future of this beautiful club.

"Most importantly, thank you to all the fans for always being there and supporting us throughout the entire season. Because no matter what happens, players and coaches may come and go, but the ones who are always there through the good times and the bad are you.

"You deserve nothing but the best. The best, always."

AC Milan approach Iraola after sacking Allegri

Icon

Latest from Your Site News' Mark McAdam:

AC Milan have approached Andoni Iraolas representatives about becoming their head coach next season.

Milan sacked head coach Max Allegri, sporting director Igli Tare, chief executive Giorgio Furlani and sporting director Geoffrey Moncada in an extraordinary sweep of changes at the club.

The Rossoneri have failed to qualify for the Champions League for the second consecutive season.

Their final day loss to Cagliari at home saw Milan drop from third to fifth in the final Serie A table - with neighbours Como qualifying for Europe's top competition instead.

A statement on Monday read: "After last season's disappointment, the owners' mandate for the club was clear: return to the Champions League and build the foundations for success and a consistent stay at the top of Serie A.

" For much of the season, we remained in the top two places in the league, with a real chance of competing for the Scudetto.

"However, the back of the season was far below the level shown up to that point, and last night's disappointing defeat turned this season into an unequivocal failure.

"Now is the time for change and a profound reorganization of the club's sporting department.

"Further announcements regarding these new appointments will be made as soon as they are finalized, with the goal of having a structure in place for next season."

Iraola has been linked with a number of jobs across the Premier League and Europe since confirming he will be leaving Bournemouth this summer.

He took the Cherries into Europe for the first time in 127 years. They finished unbeaten in 18 games. Iraola has also been linked with Crystal Palace and Bayer Leverkusen
